Only 26 days left of school! Ms. Soholt's 4th graders are incorporating one letter of the alphabet into each of the days that are left. Today was A--for Airplane! Some of the students are pictured here with the paper airplanes they made.
We have an early dismissal on Wednesday, April 10th, due to Teacher Inservice. Buses will run shortly after we dismiss at 1:30. There is no Afterschool Club that day.

The Shrine Circus will be in Grand Forks on Fri., April 26th-Sun., April 28th. Tickets will be sent home with students today. These are sponsored by area businesses and if you use yours, please remember to send them a thank you!
Small Group Music Contest was held in Jamestown yesterday. Our two large groups (boys & girls mixed) each received a rating of 1 (excellent performance). The Trio of Jori Jerstad, Reonnah Gourneau, & Chloe Linster also received a 1 (excellent performance). And the girls group got a STAR rating (superior performance) which means they will go on to State Music in May! Great job, music students & Mrs. Neva!
A Pre-School Parent Meeting is scheduled for April 24th at 7:00pm for interested families. Children will need to have reached the age of four years old before August 1, 2024 to attend Pre-K in the Fall. If you have questions, please contact Mr. Larson!

Finley-Sharon Junior High students, Kathryn Kroeplin, Isaiah Bland, Jr., Cove Harris, & Patrick Bremer attended a Math Meet at Mayville State University today. Our team placed 7th out of 8 schools; our team score was 156 points overall. Kathryn K. was our team’s highest scoring individual, with 40 points scored! President Vanhorn also stopped by to say a few words to the kids. The team is coached by Ms. Sarah Scheitel.
Finley-Sharon's Kathryn Kroeplin & Patrick Bremer participated at the ND State Spelling Bee in Bismarck, representing Steele County, on Monday, March 18th. Spellers were seated for their written session at 9:00am in the Bismarck Event Center. The written test is broken down into three parts. After each part is complete, the tests make their way to their correcting room. Each test is corrected three times to ensure accuracy. Although neither Kathryn or Patrick moved on from the written session, they enjoyed the experience!
There is no school for students at Finley-Sharon on Friday, March 15th. Enjoy your long weekend!
