The kiddos enjoyed heading to the Finley Fire Department on Friday. Enjoy looking at a few pictures.

Thank You to the Finley Improvement Foundation!
I would like to sincerely thank the Finley Improvement Foundation for their generous donation to the Finley-Sharon School science department. With this support, I was able to purchase nets and water sampling gear for macroinvertebrate sampling, as well as a specialized tank for poison dart frogs, complete with tropical plants and three “cobalt tinc” poison dart frogs (Dendrobates tinctorius). Although these frogs are not actually poisonous—since they no longer consume the “spicy” ants that produce their toxins—they provide a fascinating and safe way for students to learn about biodiversity and ecosystems. Having live animals in the classroom encourages curiosity, increases engagement, and helps students develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
Thank you for helping make my classroom a more interactive, hands-on, and inspiring place to learn!
