2020 Christmas Helping Hands: The Finley-Sharon Elementary students are proud that they exceeded their goal of $400, collecting $700 for the 2020 Christmas Helping Hands project, guaranteeing that Mr. Larson will be getting "pied in the face" on Tues., Dec. 22nd! On Fri., Dec. 11th, Finley Improvement Assoc. surprised the students with a donation of $1000 for the project! $1700.00 in gift cards will be distributed to needy families via our local Social Service office this week! Thank you to all involved in making this project a success!

Christmas Helping Hands Update...great job & congratulations to the Finley-Sharon students in grades K-6 and to all others who have donated to our Christmas Helping Hands project. We raised $700.00, greatly exceeding our $400.00 goal. We would like to also thank the Finley Improvement Association, who notified us yesterday of their generous donation of $1000.00. All in total, we have collected $1700.00. Mr. Dennis Lindstrom (right) presented Mr. Jeff Larson with the $1000.00 check today.
Mrs. Johansen's 1st grade students enjoyed cupcakes during their milkbreak today, after reading a story called "A Cupcake Party" written by David McPhail.
What is a Time Capsule? It is defined as "a container holding historical records or objects representative of current culture that is preserved until discovered or opened by future generations."
We are excited that we have discovered a time capsule here at F-S, dating back to 1995 with instructions to be opened in 2020! Stay tuned for a Facebook Live next week, where we will be opening the 1995 Across the Curriculum Project Time Capsule!

FSHP Spartan boys & girls basketball practice will begin on Mon., Nov. 30th. JH and V GBB practice will be in Hope at 4:00; V BBB practice will be in Finley at 4:00. *JH BBB practice starts Dec. 7th, however players have the option to join the Varsity during their first week of practice. Players who did not play Fall Sports...be sure we have a current Physical Form (A or B) on file in the office.

Congrats to the 2020 Varsity VB team who has earned the NDHSAA team scholar award! NDHSAA recognizes teams that have met a cumulative 3.20 Grade Point Average as Team Scholars. The Lady Spartans had an average GPA of 3.88! Congratulations to all varsity players on this awesome achievement!
