Vision zero simulation

The Vision Zero campaign came to the Finley-Sharon School on January 5th and provided several presentations to the elementary & high school students .  Vision Zero is a statewide strategy to eliminate motor vehicle crash fatalities and serious injuries. The goal of zero fatalities is not only attainable, but also vital because every life matters!

The presentation for the elementary students was about the importance of wearing seat belts and child car seat information.

High School students learned about the dangers of distracted driving. They also experienced a simulation activity where students pedaled a go-cart while wearing “drunk” goggles and operating a cell phone.   We appreciate Sheriff Wayne Beckman and the Vision Zero team spending time with our students.
