Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be observed next Monday, January 17th. Here are more about Dr. King.
- Dr. King lead the American Civil Rights movement, inspiring change for equal rights for all. During his mission, however, he was imprisoned nearly 30 times for peaceful protests. These non-violent strategies included sit-ins, boycotts, and protest marches.
- Dr. King narrowly escaped an assassination attempt a decade before his death. While at a book signing in 1958, a women attempted to stab him, but he was able to recover and felt no ill will toward the attacker.

- K-6 Patrioteer Youth Wrestling will begin on January 18th and if you choose to participate, your parents will be responsible for giving you a ride. There is a Facebook page for more information…MPCG Wrestling Club.
- Information about the K-6 Little Spikers VB Camp at MaSU has been sent home with students. This camp is Saturday Mornings from 9:00-10:00am on January 22nd, 29th, and Feb. 5th. Cost is $60.00. For more info. contact Michelle Warren at 701 210-0200 or michelle.warren.2@mayvillestate.edu .
