- Finley Lutheran Church invites all Trick or Treaters to stop by on Halloween, any time from 4:30-6:30 for pizza, chips, & hot chocolate!

- It’s time to announce the Q1 Students of the Quarter! F-S high school students are nominated by the teachers, based on a variety of criteria including class participation, leadership qualities, attitude, cooperativeness, & helpfulness. First are our nominees: Lucas Rayner, Tim Young, Tyler Moore, Sophia Campbell, Tristan Bremer, Dusty Moore, Damien Evenson, Anna Smith, Jillian Larson, and Bryce Juliuson. Congratulations to our winners-Grades 7-9: Kiaza Carlson & Gage Geier; Grades 10-12: Kasey Dosch & Doug Geier. Winners, please stop by the office window to pick up your interview sheet. Once you complete it, return it to Kelsey for your prize, which has been sponsored by Bravera Bank in Finley!
- Next up is our Q1 Teacher of the Quarter. Students in grades 7-12 were able to nominate a teacher and give their reasons why. Our winner this quarter is Miss Sarah Scheitel! Miss Scheitel is creative, very understanding, makes learning fun, is always willing to help out when asked, shows interest in her students, uses a variety of teaching methods to help us learn, cheerful and makes everyone happy, always willing to answer questions, and is organized & enthusiastic. Congrats, Miss Scheitel. The students have a gift for you!
- Lastly, we had a great number of students who have gone “Above & Beyond” this quarter. Your kindness & extra efforts have not gone unnoticed, as your teachers have been nominating you and your parents have received postcards in the mail. We’ve drawn our “Above & Beyond” winners, who will each receive a Starbucks gift card. Congrats to Sophia Campbell, has been working hard and is very dedicated to doing well in class. Our other winner is Tyler Moore, who has been working extra hard on learning to play guitar. Congrats, students!
