NAEP TESTING: We have been selected to participate this year in NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Porgress) testing. The focus of the testing is to evaluate a child's aptitude in the areas of reading and mathematics. The testing is given on February 17, 2015 and lasts about two and a half hours. The testing will be done with 4th and 8th graders only, and results are used strictly on a confidential basis. The grading has nothing to do with the student's profile.
ASVAB Testing: Each year the Junior class is given the ASVAB test(Armed Services Vocational Abilities Battery). This is a Career Exploration Program (CEP) that helps students to identify areas that interest them and to learn about themselves and the world of work. The testing provides the student with their particular interests and skills as well as providing them with access to a great career exploration website for their use and perusal. The test is given this year on September 7, 2017 to the Juniors and will run from 8:30 am until about 11:30 am. The test will be given by ASVAB personnel and a post-test overview will be done once results arrive back at the school. See the counselor if you have any questions! This also serves as a military entrance exam should the student have an interest in pursing a career in the military. A student must score a minimum of 30 to be considered for any branch of the military.
