PLEASE NOTE: All juniors are scheduled to take these tests on March 20, 2018 and make up testing has the test window open through April 24, 2018.
Changes in North Dakota
As a result of legislative action , education requirements for students in North Dakota are changing. As part of the new legislation, ALL JUNIOR students are required to take the ACT or ACT WorkKeys unless otherwise stated in the student's IEP, 504 Service Plan or IEP . The test will be paid for by the school district.
Students will have the option of choosing whether they want to take the ACT test or the WorkKeys. Both tests will be held on March 20, 2018 . The ACT is given off campus at the Lutheran Church to provide for appropriate testing criteria.
ACT Test:
college admissions test accepted for almost all private and public universities in the United States (possibly a requirement for some 2 year colleges)
Contains 4 sections including: English (45 minutes) 75 questions,, Mathematics (60 minutes), 60 questions, Reading (40 minutes) 35 questions, , and Science (35 minutes) 40 questions..
Writing Portion. There will be a writing portion it is 30 minutes in duration.
Scoring a 24 or higher is one of the requirements that may qualify you for the ND Academic Scholarship
